Our Denim Jacket is constructed from 100% selvedge British denim and cut with a relaxed, boxy fit. The jacket is finished with a button down placket and cuffs, two hidden side seam pockets and two button down chest pockets.

We work closely with London’s only denim-focused manufacturer to realise our own relaxed take on classic denim garments. The atelier’s founder brings 25 years’ experience in creating iconic selvedge and raw denim wear, while the local community in Walthamstow is equally integral to its working practice as they strive to recruit and nurture local talent.
Mixing tailoring innovation with heritage construction techniques, the quality of their denim is unparalleled. For Personal Effects, they work with denim woven in the UK, expertly navigating the notoriously heavy fabric that is a beloved staple of any modern wardrobe.

Our denim mill is one of the few traditional weavers still based in the UK — creating fabrics which are pleasingly unique and full of texture, nuance and character. Their desire to produce ecologically and ethically-sound denim drives them to make decisions which minimise environmental impact, while their passion for home-grown manufacturing offers future generations the opportunity to learn and protect a precious, traditional craft. At Personal Effects, we delight in the beautiful imperfections of their slubby denims, wrought with integrity and care via a 1951 Blackburn Northrop Denim Loom.
Function is just as important to us as form. We want to make sure everything we create is done so with purpose. So instead of treating pockets as an afterthought, or something simply decorative, we’ve include subtly into the seem construction. This simple solution allows us to feature practical pockets, which don’t disrupt the shape or clean lines of the garment.
